Any stressful or traumatic experience could be transformed into one filled with strength, love and freedom. Somatic movement classes can help heal, restore sense of health and wellbeing, and find harmony within and without.
Through mindful movement we create self-awareness; we learn to listen to our bodies and be gentle to ourselves. We move and learn to notice and acknowledge our emotions; we convince our brains that we are safe and we change our brain functioning, we retrain the body and mind together and begin a process of better communication with ourselves. With mindful movement we can uncover and change the patterns in our bodies that are connected to traumas; and with releasing the tension in the body, our breathing patterns change, our emotions change, our thinking change - and we awaken our internal healing intelligence.
